RUFUS – President Laylin’s former Senate staffer, who accused him of drugging, raping and then beating her during a late-night meeting back in 2015, has been identified as 35-year-old Ashley Martinez-Sonbar.
As ordered, the victim’s name was revealed by her legal team, who failed to appeal the federal court’s ruling and was denied an appeal to the Supreme Court. The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Ashley Martinez Sonbar of Alden, Mesa. She was the women who accused the President of drugging, raping and then beating her.
“I will work to ensure justice is served for not only me but for the other women that are raped everyday across the country,” said Ashley Martinez-Sonbar. “We will not stop until Jay Evan Laylin is held to account for his actions as a Senator and ensure crimes like this can’t continue.”
Sonbar’s lawyers say they had appealed and failed to prevent her name from being released. A Judge in New Shire’s 8th Circuit said that “Judge Aspendale’s assessment of the release of the victim’s name is correct and it will stay that motion.”
The Women’s Rape Survivor Organization also sued to prevent her name from being released citing “substantial safety concerns,” and “the powerful nature of the position Jay Laylin is now in.” The organization says it will fight for some security for the victim until the trial is over.
“The high-profile of President Laylin will put Mrs. Martinez at risk and we will not let anything happen to her,” said Donna Jvorvik, president and director of the WRSO. “This suspect is the President Of The United States Of Jesstopia and has an unlimited access to organizations that could quietly harm her. We will put up 2 million in security for Ashley.”
Sonbar said that she is not concerned as injunctions against the federal government inferring with Sonbar, her friends, family or any coworkers is scheduled to be signed by Federal Court Judge Tonya Aspendale later this week according to sources familiar with the case.
