RUFUS – Nox City crews have already begun cleaning up debris, damages and flooding from Hurricane Lola. Crews say that the brunt of the storm has completely shut down Nox City Port with flooding causing extensive damage to the Port’s operations.

According to officials Nox City’s only Shipping port was flooded with large scores of waters dumped by Lola. The Port is scheduled to remain closed for the foreseeable future with most operations ceasing until flooding is drained or it subsides through evaporation.

“We know how important Nox City’s port is so we are working with crews to remove millions of gallons of water from the entire city,” said Governor Joey Rigg. “Right now, we know that there is at least 2 million gallons that flooded out the Nox City Port. We are working with Mayor Leslie’s office to coordinate machines that will pump flood waters from the city working with companies that will also provide us with pumps and other equipment to deal with flooding.”

President Jay Laylin has sent to the Jesstopia military to aid in recovery and has invested 29 million in recovery efforts. President Laylin said that before the hurricane arrived in Nox City that he was investing in recovery efforts and would push for more equipment to aid including boats, drainer trucks and water pumpers.

“I have directed the immediate release of any water pumper trucks, drainage trucks and other equipment that will help drain flood waters,” said President Laylin. “We know that Nox City Port is extremely flooded. We don’t expect the port to be closed for some time.”

Crews have been working since Saturday morning to begin the cleanup process with the cleanup process estimated to take several weeks to complete. Officials are saying that anyone who is returning to the city should use caution as flooding could still cause injury.
