RUFUS – After 7 months of searching, President Laylin announced who would be replacing Nationalist House Press Secretary Nancy Yates on her departure from the Administration next month, naming Alden Prime Time host Jordie Mackland the incoming Press Secretary. The Nationalist House also posted the announcement on its website and President Laylin issued a statement on his GovMedia account.

In his statement posted to both the Nationalist House website and his GovMedia account he issued that he looks forward to Jordie Mackland joining the administration and serving as the 5th Press Secretary. He had been keeping his pick quiet with many administration officials unaware of his pick according to sources close to the matter.

“I am extremely pleased to announce that Alden Prime Time Host Jordie Mackland will become the Nationalist House’s 5th Press Secretary following Nancy Yate’s departure from the Administration,” wrote President Laylin to on his GovMedia account. “Mackland is a perfect fit for our administration, and we look forward to having him join our Press Team.”

Jordie Mackland’s official first day has not been confirmed by either the Administration or the President himself, but we do know he will begin his new role next month. The Federal Crimes Investigation Service has confirmed that Mackland is getting a background check completed.

“We are currently conducting a background check on Jordie Mackland to ensure that he passes a federal background check and provide him with his necessary security clearances to be in the vicinity of and work with President Laylin,” said FCIS Director Barry Wilkenson. “This process takes place with all potential press secretaries and other cabinet members and staff who work and require a security clearance to be in the Nationalist House. We expect the full investigation into his background to be completed sometime this week.”

Current and outgoing Nationalist House Press Secretary Nancy Yates says that President Laylin “could not have picked a better Secretary,” and says that she is “extremely” confident in Mackland’s appointment. She has still yet to confirm when she will depart the Nationalist House and the administration next month as many speculate it may be coming sooner rather than later.

“I believe that Jordie Mackland will be a great fit for the administration and President Laylin could not have picked a better Secretary to serve in his administration and to succeed me,” said Nationalist House Press Secretary Nancy Yates. “I am extremely confident in Jordie Mackland’s ability to lead the Press Office of the President. We will participate in a formal transition process when I leave the administration.”
