RUFUS – Following President Jay Laylin’s decision to authorize airstrikes on Iran yesterday, House Nationalists are seeking to impeach President Laylin, Secretary Of State Bradley Vance and Secretary Of Defense Corbyn Willard for high crimes and misdemeanors as well as for abuse of power.
According to the articles filed by Representative Maxine Rivers, she claims that both Vance and Willard should have advised President Laylin against targeting Iran for what she calls an “unnecessary escalation of violence.” She says that both men are culpable for the violence perpetrated against Iran unnecessary.
Rivers did say that she understands that Jesstopia is at war with Iran, and violence is part of war, but she denounces the unnecessary strikes against Iran that were carried yesterday morning. She says that Jesstopia and it’s leaders should not use violence to gain political points or make a statement to the world.
“I believe that Secretary Vance and Willard should both be held responsible for the deadly attack on Iran,” said Representative Maxine Rivers. “The President is advised by both the Secretary of State and Secretary of Defense and both men failed to advise the President against the inappropriate actions of bombing Iran yesterday. Both men are as culpable of the attacks as President Laylin is for ordering them.”
Rivers is set to priviledge the articles of impeachment against the three men during a special meeting of the House and says that she fully intends to bring it to a floor vote with the next few months. The impeachment efforts were announced by Rep. Rivers during an early morning conference.
“House Republicans will not entertain these impeachment articles and we will bat down the effort as no crime or abuse of power have taken place,” said House Speaker Gregory Harks. “This is just another attempt of Nationalists who can’t stand the fact that President Laylin is standing up for Jesstopia and it’s allies. She really should just drop the articles because it is going to go nowhere.”
Republicans are expectedly set to vote against it in the House essentially killing the attempt to remove three officials from power. Further, Nationalists are likely to find due cause to file subsequent impeachment articles. Officials within the House Nationalist Caucus is looking at legal avenues other than impeachment to file charges against the Laylin administration for abuses of power.
“We are not done with this fight and have every intention to continue trying to stop this violence, hateful and bigoted administration with everything we have,” said Representative Greg Maldonado. “We can’t sit idly by as President Laylin attacks unnecessarily, the people of Iran. Hundreds of innocent people were harmed in the reckless airstrikes ordered by President Laylin and he seems to not care that lives are at stake. We must stop him now, before he continues to kill innocent Iranians in his revenge-fueled attacks on Iran.”
Iranian officials have vowed relentless attacks on Jesstopian military bases across the globe in response to the airstrikes around Iran, and say that “Jesstopian leadership is playing a very dangerous game.”
According to the Nationalist House, President Laylin authorized the attacks to get Iran to the negotiation table as well as force them to remove blockades and Iranian ships from the Strait of Hormuz, something US President Donald Trump has been working to accomplish since April, as his peace deal fell short.
