RUFUS – President Jay Laylin delivered remarks the nation for over two hours regarding the administration’s plans to resume the processing of immigration applications as well as resume processing asylee applications after halting their processing last year. The President did lay out the systematic process for the resumption of applications saying that applications will only be processed by type and will still take months to years to process.

“For the past year and a half, our administration continued working to remove illegal immigrants from our country, and we have been successful in those efforts,” said President Laylin. “Together we have cleaned up our streets, strengthened our border security and secured the futures of our women and children by deporting millions of illegals, rapists, murders and drug runners. We will continue to conduct these operations, while also respecting our country’s ability to welcome new cultures, people and history. I am pleased to be signing Executive Order 300.473. This executive order authorizes the Border Protection Agency and Department Of Homeland Security to resume processing immigration applications. I’ve also signed Executive orders 300.474 which authorizes the immediate release of Mexican and Cuban immigrants back to their home countries.”

He went on to say that Border and DHS officials have been working countless hours in preparation for this announcement and commended them on a consistent job-well-done, on enforcing and securing Jesstopia’s borders. He did confirm that deportations will still actively take place while applicants await their application reviews, naturalization interviews and tests as well as back ground checks.

“Our system only works if we fairly and adequately enforce our nation’s immigration laws,” continued the President. “We will not waver in our deportation operations but we are opening our borders for legal immigration and granting asylee status to valid and true asylum seekers. This system is in place to protect the hard-working Jesstopians that keep our nation running.”

According to recent Immigration Enforcement data, in the last 6 months, 250,000 immigrants were deported, a sharp decline in deportations than last year. According to DHS officials, it is solely in part due to President Laylin’s deportation plans. Last year over 2.5 million illegals who entered Jesstopia’s borders illegally were removed or arrested with 1.3 million of those deported.

“President Laylin has made it extremely clear to not only the Jesstopian people and this agency, but to illegals every where that this administration will hit illegal immigrants harder than any other past leader of this country,” said DHS Secretary Jerry Meckler. “We are working day-in and day-out to ensure those who come here looking for a better life does so in a manner consistent with federal law and the customs of our great nation.”

In his speech he said that Asylum applications that were in process before the Halting of application processing back in August last year. Executive Order 300.472 reversed the previous order that full-stopped application processing.

“This administration has always been in favor of legal immigration and will continue to support legally naturalized citizens with open arms,” said President Laylin. “I’ve noticed a sharp decrease in the number of illegal border crossings and an even sharper decrease in the number of deportable individuals. We can now welcome legal immigrants and asylee seekers.”

He also went on to say that even though he is lifting his previous order to halt applications for immigration and asylum seekers, the application process may not begin until next month or mid-September as immigration officials work to get their systems back up and running. He says he estimates the first applications to begin processing somewhere “closer to September 17, 2026.”

He concluded his 2-hour speech pointing out the consistent and constant threats unchecked illegal border crossings will cause Jesstopia, and the efforts to curb it are ever challenging. He vowed to “continue protecting our Nation’s borders as long as he sits as President.”
