RUFUS – As Nox City residents either evacuate or brace themselves, Hurricane Lola is expected to arrive in less than 3 hours, bringing with her strong winds, heavy rainfall, flooding and immense destruction. Lola is the third Hurricane to directly hit North Lorray since 1989. It is expected to be the deadliest in Nox City’s history. Lightning and rain have already begun in the City.
“We are now seeing that their is lightning and moderate rainfall in Nox City right now,” said NEWS 28’s chief meteorologist Mick Magen. “We will see winds increase as the hurricane reach the coast of North Lorray. Evacuation orders have been issued and now is the time to leave if you haven’t yet. The storm will make it’s way to the southmost points of Kingston County including the cities of Troyer, Mackinack, Stephensville, Sparta, Chesterville and Parkman. Folks in Nox City will be epicenter of the storm and that is where the most devastation is going to happen.”
Nox City and North Lorray officials say that it is expecting heavy rainfall that will lead to flooding that will cause crushing devastation to roadways with major roadways being flooded. Hurricane Lola is expected to cause devasting damage to buildings around the city, with most gas stations opting to power off their gas stations until after the hurricane passes.
“Any person who stays behind in Nox City, should seek immediate shelter,” said Mayor Daniel Leslie. “There will be no rescue teams available until after the hurricane leaves the city. We also will be unable to take 911 calls until after the storm. Please make plans to shelter in a safe place high off the ground.”
Storm experts say Hurricane Lola’s damage estimates to be in the billions according to recent reports from the Jesstopian Weather Service. Experts say this estimate comes from buildings, watercraft, airport damages and city buildings and family homes.
“We know that Lola will be one of the strongest and hardest hitting hurricanes are state and city have every faced,” said Mark Withers, a Storm Damage Analyst. “We have a lot of high rises, homes and other buildings that will be the target of the Lola’s force. We predict that we should see damage totals ranging from about 950 million to roughly 3 billion dollars.”
