RUFUS – Freshly sworn in North Lorray State Senator Mark Ruffler is already making headlines less than a day into his new role, where he is calling on Senate Majority Leader Steven Hartman, the very man who swore him in. It has already created a rift between State Sen. Ruffler and Senate Leadership.

According to reports, Sen. Ruffler is calling on Leader Hartman to resign citing his “inability to work with Republicans to get lasting changes and legislation passed,” and accused him of “showboating legislative blocks on major funding bills and other important legislative proposals aimed at securing the state, working to deport illegals, alongside President Laylin and other federal officials in a time where these bill are needed.”

His calls for Leader Hartman to step down as House Majority were met with applause from his fellow Republicans with jeers and boos from Nationalists who call the statement “repulsive.”

“He is not even a full day into his term and he is already trying to stir the pot within the Senate chamber,” said Sen. Evan Lawley. “It is not the time nor the place to call on our Senate’s Majority leader and it is strikingly repulsive.”

Sen. Marcus Lee called Ruffler’s comments “unnecessary,” and “highly inappropriate,” citing is extremely junior seniority in the Senate. Lee went onto say that it not only causes issues within the Senate, but shows the lack of experience that Ruffler has in Statewide political office.

“Senator Ruffler should be playing carefully as he has no seniority in the Senate and will not build seniority by sparring with Senate leadership,” said Sen. Lee. “His comments are unnecessary and inappropriate, and it just goes to show the lack of experience he has in statewide political office.”

Republicans are quickly backing Senator Ruffler, calling his call comments “justified,” and “his right to say.” They say that the Senate has stalled several major important bills aimed at providing funding for childcare programs, food stamps and other important programs that North Lorrayans rely on. They say they would back a motion to remove Leader Hartman, but Nationalists control the Senate and it would not pass.
