RUFUS – Although they were confident, Nationalists have currently lost 7 Senate seats to Republicans during the 2026 Senate Election with three more of there seats up to be challenged. They have been successful in retaining 12 seats so far, but Republicans seem more popular then ever as the results rolled in early this morning.

Senate Republicans are looking to have an even bigger majority rolling into 2028, with the House even more Republican leaning since the 2025 Congressional elections last year, Nationalists have no hope this time to rip Senate control away from Republicans.

“As you can see our mandate to lead the Jesstopian people is stronger than ever and all races haven’t even been called yet,” said Senate Majority Leader Harry Rodham. “We look forward to continuing to serve as the Majority party and deliver actual results for the Jesstopian people. We have a lot more work to do and I look forward to the next two years before the next election.”

Republicans have officially been declared winners of the election retaining control of the Senate and safeguarding enough Republican seats to lead the Senate until 2028, when they will face challenges on their current Senate seats. Republican support in Jesstopia currently stands at its highest ratings in Jesstopian history and will likely lead them to victory come 2028.

Nationalists say they are still hopeful for 2028 but did confirm they are extraordinarily disappointed in the number of seats they lost to Republicans. They say that simply wasn’t the time to try to take control of the Senate back and said 2028 will be their next chance.

“Yes, it’s disappointing, and we are losing some great colleagues to Republicans, but we must move forward and face our attention to the future of our great country,” said Senate Minority Leader Vicky White, he easily won reelection. “We must ensure that we stop Republicans from trimming down social programs, LGBTQ-related causes and halt illegal immigration raids. We will do all this until 2028, when we will give it another shot to take back Senate control. I look forward to being able to continue to serve.”

Election officials say the final races should be called by Saturday morning and results for those races are expected to be announced early in the morning. Election workers have been working for the last 5 days to ensure that elections in all Senate races were quickly and accurately counted, certified and then called. They say they are still working as fast to get the results posted and official race results called.
