RUFUS – Nancy Yates has officially left the Laylin Administration after nearly two years serving the press office, choosing to run Nexus Network as it’s Executive President. Jordie Mackland, former Alden Prime Time Host assumed office and will serve as the 5th Nationalist House Press Secretary.

Yates had been instrumental in spreading the President’s and his administration’s agenda in his first year in office and navigated very carefully the press office response to the Jesstopia-Iran war. Yates was also a key ally in pushing for more support for his deportation efforts. The President issued the following statement on his GovMedia account early this afternoon thanking her for her tireless service to the office.

“While I am sad to see her go, Nancy Yates served our great nation for the last year and half, and has been the closest friend, advisor and patriot taking on a barage of attacks from the media,” wrote President Laylin on his GovMedia account. “I thank Nancy for her tireless service to this Press Office. I know she will accomplish great things. Love you Nancy and thanks for your dedication to our administration. Best of luck on your newest chapter. You’ll do great things.”

President Laylin was the first to support her announcement but also the first to express his sadness that she was leaving. Other administration officials including Vice President Cole Bindle also posted messages on her personal X account.

“It is a very very great day for Nancy and I know in her new role, she will accomplish so much and do good for the Nexus Network’s customers and suppliers,” said Vice President Cole Bindle. “I know this new chapter in your life will make you happy and I am rooting every day for your plentiful success. We will miss you for sure Nancy. Best of luck to you my friend.”

Jordie Mackland is expected to host his first press briefing later today with officials citing his first Press Briefing to take place around 9:00 PM. Mackland did thank Nancy Yates for showing him the Press Office allowing him to meet with his new staff.

“I won’t let you down Mr. President, and I know together we will navigate the storm known as the Press Pool,” Mackland joked. “We will continue to be a transparent administration and work together to deliver transparent information to the Jesstopian people.”
