RUFUS – President Jay Laylin’s Nationalist House Press Secretary Nancy Yates extended her departure date after being noticeably present at the Nationalist House on June 12, a day after she was expected to depart the Nationalist House. She announced earlier this morning that she was staying on until June 20 to finish off a project.
“Press Secretary Yates was scheduled to leave on June 11, 2026, but as many of you noticed she was still working the briefing room on June 11,” said a Nationalist House spokesperson. “She will leave this upcoming Saturday and Jordie Mackland will take over the role. She was planning on being gone by last Thursday but due to delays in several final parts of a project she was working on, she will stay on until June 20.”
The delayed departure will also give Alden Prime Time, and Pookepsie Entertainment more time to search for Mackland’s successor. The company said that it “has yet to find Mackland’s replacement.”
“I know I am ready to take on my new role, but due to a series of delays, I must delay my departure from the administration for another week,” said Nancy Yates, Press Secretary. “I will be finishing up the project, and I will then hand the reigns over to Jordie Mackland.”
Mackland will assume office at 8:00 AM according to Nationalist House officials. Mackland also will step down from his role as Alden Prime Time’s host on Friday according to sources close to Mackland. Mackland was selected to serve as President Laylin’s press secretary on May 11.
