ALLISTER (RUFUS) – Nationalists are increasing their calls on President Laylin to step down as President and resign the Presidency following accusations that he drugged, raped then beat one of his former Senate staffers, as investigators continue to sort through potential evidence during prosecutions discovery period. The President has been battling allegations that he sexually assaulted and beat his former staffer, and denies the wrongdoing. That is not deterring Nationalist officials who say “it’s time for him to go,” even as investigators and the prosecution say “no charges have been filed as of now.”
Nationalists in both the House and Senate say that a formal impeachment hearing should be held, with others saying that a vote is likely headed to the House Impeachment Committee. Nationalist Senator Patricia Benks says she would support an impeachment and the President’s removal.
“This president has committed several impeachable offenses since assuming office and this is simply the straw that broke the camels back,” said Senator Benks. “He must go and I call on his cabinet to force him to resign. I support his victim and I will support his impeachment. We must have a President who does not rape innocent staffers and holds the constitution to his heart.”
Representative Pauline Rover said that she would also vote to impeach and remove the President given his history of unlawful acts as President. She said that her heart shatters for the victim as she prepares to fight one of the most powerful people on the planet and visit that traumatic day in court.
“Congress must hold this president to account for his involvement in the rape, beating and drugging of his ex-Senate staffer,” said Representative Pauline Rover. “My heart shatters for the victim who will now be preparing to take on the Nation’s most powerful men and one of the most powerful men on planet earth. She is going to now have to replay the events of that traumatic day in court as she works to get justice.”
Other officials including New Shire Governor David Rivera, former North Lorray Governor Linda and several State Representatives and Senators also call on the President to resign the Presidency.
“I think it is in the best interest of the country if President Laylin resigns from office and allow Vice President Cole Bindle to take over,” said Governor David Rivera. “The victim in this case deserves justice and him leaving office will save our country from national embarrassment. We must hold President Laylin to account.”
Republicans have quickly built a coalition of support behind President Laylin batting off calls to launch impeachment inquiries against the President, refusing to answer questions related to the alleged raped in 2015. Republicans have also began removing press reporters out of events who dare bring up the misconduct of President Laylin.
“The President has been accused of raping someone, and that still has to be proven in a court of law,” said House Speaker Gregory Harks. “Right now, for all we know is he did not commit this vile act. We will support the President in any way we can and will support him unless he is convicted and found guilty of rape.”
North Lorray Governor Joey Rigg, who is also under investigation for sexual assault on a New York prostitute is still being argued in a New York court room, said that he will back President Laylin in his effort to fight this cowardly and disgusting false allegations. He said that he is aiding the President with navigating through the legal process.
“These incredibly disgusting and cowardly false accusations will hinder Jesstopia’s legislative processes for both Congress who will be tied up to investigate what will turn out to be false allegations and handcuff the executive branch as President Laylin is likely to appear in court and has said he will cooperate with investigators.”
Federal prosecutors say they are continuing to comb through evidence that will be pertinent in this case, including text messages, camera footage and other records provided. Investigators and Lead Prosecutors say right now they will not reveal any information until they have reviewed all evidence which they say will take months before any determination is made, given the high-profile nature of the case.
“We are not going to release information on the evidence found until we have sifted through the evidence,” said Federal Prosecutor Cheryl Mattenburg. “The President has texts and various other medias to go through from his time in the Senate from 2011 until 2024. There will thousands of documents to go through and this process requires warrants signed by a judge. We will release are preliminary findings when discovery is completed.”
Calls to resign have increasingly grown in two days since he was accused and the investigation was launched, all of them coming from Nationalists across the country. President Laylin has not made any further comment on the ongoing matter, referring questions about the investigation to the prosecutors and his legal team.
“Vice President Cole Bindle should do the right thing and convene a meeting to work on removing Laylin from power,” said Senate Minority Leader Larry Cofelt. “I call on him to do the right thing and request a formal cabinet meeting to discuss removing him.”
