RUFUS – Incumbent Lorray Governor Nicole Pitless has officially won reelection receiving 300 vote bank points, against Dempsey’s 27, the largest margin of victory in the State’s history. Pitless will begin her third term on May 10, when she is administered her oath of office.

“Today is a monumental victory for us, and the people of our state,” said Governor Pitless in her reelection victory speech. “Together we defeated the evils of the left and will continue to provide protections for our children in schools and will continue our work with President Jay Laylin on issues that directly affect our children.”

Mike Cox, her Lieutenant Governor was simultaneously reelected to his office as Governor Pitless. Together they pushed more anti-transgender policy than any other administration in the state’s history. Cox says he looks forward to continuing the work they both started together.

“Governor Pitless and I have been able to accomplish so much together and together we will carry on our passion for public service and work to ensure that our children remain protected from transgenderism,” said Lt. Governor Mike Cox. “Together we will strengthen our school systems and will work to ensure that our students are getting a fair and non-political education. I look forward to another 2 years of work ahead of us, and together we will make more great changes.”

Pitless won the governor’s office with one of the largest vote margins in the state’s history, winning over 30 more vote bank points than are required, and won in a landslide. Experts say her popularity was stronger than once predicted by major pollsters and other political analyst experts.

“She was at the height of her power when she won reelection in 2024, and now today’s victory shows that she was way more powerful than anyone realized,” said Cristine Salzzer, a political analyst for Jesstopian News Network. “She had more experience and was more known that State Senator Vance Dempsey. She also had incumbent’s advantage.”

President Laylin congratulated her on her victory calling her a “Jesstopian patriot,” who will “make her state and country proud.” He issued the following statement on his GovMedia account.

“I am extremely pleased to learn that Lorray Governor Nicole Pitless has swiftly won reelection as the state’s 40th Governor,” read the President’s GovMedia post. “Congratulations to a Jesstopia patriot who will make her state and country proud with her continued leadership at the helm of the state as it’s head of state. I look forward to are continued strong work that we started back in November 2024.”
