RUFUS – Voters in Cameron, New Shire and Lorray have officially begun heading to their polling places across the three states as polling locations began opening for election day. Cameron, New Shire and Lorray voters will vote today for their Governor, Lt. Governor and several statewide officials, with New Shire’s Moving Vehicles Commissioner up for election today.

“It is a big day for the states as voters head to the polls,” said New Shire Governor David Rivera, who is hoping to win a first full elected term. “They will let their needs and demands of their state government be heard and I look forward to and will respect the results of this election. It is a time where our voices must be heard to, and I look forward to learning of the results of the election.”

Governor Rivera has already cast his ballot, and confirmed that he voted for himself, saying “he has a lot of work left to do.” Rivera is currently predicted to win his first full term, with Marley unlikely to secure enough voter support to defeat Nationalists.

“Governor Rivera must be defeated, but I believe in the democratic process of allowing the people to decide who will be their governor,” said Lorenzo Marley. “My hope is that the people of our state will see the state of our economy, and vote smart, and elect a Republican into office after 16 years of Nationalists control of the State government. I look forward to the results being called and I will support and respect the complete and adequate results of the election.”

Lorray Governor Nicole Pitless and Cameron Governor David Spane could easily win reelection each enjoying a hefty approval rating within their states. Governor Pitless easily clinched the Republican Party’s nomination and had consistent support from voters.

“I will work hard to continue the work of our administration, and we need a strong woman to support and guide our state through continued success,” said Governor Nicole Pitless. “We have the voter base, so let’s win this thing. We have so much work left to accomplish, and today is the day to allow us to do just that.”

Governor Spane also issued that he was looking forward to continuing to serve Cameroons, as its Governor, and said that the election will decide the course of the State’s history, and vowed to support the results of the election.

“I think we can all agree that our state is one of the best states to live in and together we can keep our state having that reputation,” said Governor Spane. “Today millions of you will head to the polls, and in those polls will cast your ballot for the person who you, the Cameron people, believe will represent and govern you that align with your vision of a strong Cameron and for the future of your kids. If I am reelected, I will continue to build on the progress that we have made together.”

Polls in all three states will close at 10:00 PM, with certification of votes starting immediately following the last ballot being cast. Voters are reminded to remain in line to vote, after the 10 PM closure of polls, as they will still be allowed to vote, “only if they are in line at 10:00 PM.
