RUFUS – President Jay Laylin has officially closed on his 8.9 million dollar penthouse in Alberta, Cambridge. The penthouse, which is a 2025 build, boasts and impressive space with greenery, two pools, and several floors of luxurious space. The President’s purchase is drawing criticism from Nationalists and anti-millionaire groups and organizations.
The penthouse, which was purchased by the President, will only be the winter home of the President following his departure from the Presidency. He says that his family will live at the Nationalist House until his time is over, with First Honorable Lady Kelly Laylin expected to live there part time as she prepares for the arrival of their furniture, and other belongings that will remain in the penthouse during their stays there.
“I am happy to have a place to relax during the winter months and I know Kelly and I look forward to the memories we will make there,” said President Jay Laylin. “I named it Casa De Laylin, as it will be the home of the Laylin family after I leave office. We are pleased to sharing a tour of the penthouse in the coming weeks. Kelly will be staying there for the next several weeks as she decorates and gets everything ready there.”
Nationalist House officials have confirmed that Presidential Protective Service teams are being deployed to the penthouse where they will live full time and have announced that agents have already been deployed as of 6:30 this morning.
“We have deployed agents to secure the penthouse as that is now an officially protected property of the Presidential Protective Service,” said PPS Director Gerald McFarland. “We have to ensure that when the First Honorable Lady and him stay at the residence, they have full and uninterrupted security 24 hours of the day, 7 days a week. We are prepared to do so and we do plan to have a full sweep and identification of all individuals who live in the building by noon.”
The President and First Honorable lady will only stay there full time during winter months, and it is said that security will increase at the condominium complex, with existing residents complaining that their lives will be disrupted by him moving in.
“I think it’s ridiculous that these people are coming from Jesstopia as President of that country, and security is trying to demand information from us,” said a resident of Fulcrum Condominium Association. “Why couldn’t they buy a condo, I don’t know say like in Nox City or Peach Tree City in Jesstopia. This is going to be a real problem for the residents who pay thousands monthly to stay here and who have spent millions to just own a place here.”
“I’ve lived here for 2 years and all I can say is that this is not going to go over well with many of the people that live here,” said another resident. “This President buying the penthouse is going to cause problems for many of us. We are going to have backed up traffic and roads are going to be shut down. It will be horrible having the President of Jesstopia living upstairs.”
Other residents of the complex say they take “great comfort in him living at the complex,” citing that they will feel safer with permanent federal law enforcement on property. They say that it will help make the property more secure.
“Having him here will make this place more secure and safer for the residents,” said a resident who is glad he is moving in. “We have lived pretty securely here, but it’s just nice having that extra layer of protection from the Presidential Protective Service. Welcome to your new home Mr. President.”
