RUFUS – Peter Davids has been sworn in as the 2nd Prime Minister of Cambridge following the resignation of Fredrick Ricketts early this morning. Davids served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Cambridge from 2021 until 2026, and was succeeded by Defense Minister Charles Swabb.

Davids had begun distancing himself from Ricketts’ legal troubles as early as March 22, when news broke that he[Ricketts] was named in the Epstein files and there were files that disclosed he had sexually assaulted several unconscious females on the island, which led this Ricketts resigning from office.

“I look forward to working to push our country forward, unleash our nation’s energy production and provide for our own global and domestic safety,” said Prime Minister Peter Davids. “We will continue working on policies that target drug and weapons’ trafficking, human trafficking and ensuring that our borders are secure. We will continue to work with President Laylin and his administration to continue our shared cooperation on various issues important to the rest of the world.

Defense Minister Charles Swabb was sworn in as the 2nd Deputy Prime Minister of Cambridge and will serve as both Defense Minister and Deputy Prime Minister. Swabb released the following statement after his swearing in.

“I can’t think of a greater honor than to serve as the Deputy Prime Minister of Cambridge,” said Swabb. “As your Deputy Prime Minister, I will work to ensure the complete defense of our nation while also engaging the public and assist the Prime Minister wherever he may need it.”

Prime Minister Davids and Deputy Prime Minister Swabb are both set for their first full duties later today, including a meeting with US President Donald Trump who also congratulated Davids on becoming Prime Minister.

“Congratulations are in order for former Deputy Prime Minister and now Prime Minister Peter Davids,” said President Trump on his personal Truth Social and X account. “I look forward to continuing the work we have already started. Let’s drill baby drill.”
