RUFUS – President Jay Laylin and Cambridge Prime Minister Fredrick Ricketts meet late Sunday afternoon where the two discussed various issues facing both countries, and ways to build up the military, after President Laylin issued 289 million dollars for a military spending fund to Cambridge.
Both leaders met at the Cambridge Government Center where they greeted each other with giant smiles and hugs. The two men then walked into the center where they took questions from reporters about asked what the meeting was for, and how it would increase Jesstopian-Cambridge relations. Both leaders then were led into a private room where an hours long meeting took place.
“I think the President and I have very similar ideas for what Cambridge’s military should look like, and he gave me ways to improve strategic points throughout our country,” said Prime Minister Fredrick Ricketts. “President Laylin and I have long been friends, even during his years in the Senate, we shared ideas and grow the opportunity of Jesstopia. Now he is helping me and has been a great friend to Cambridge since assuming office last year in November. His guidance with building up our military will allow extreme national security.”
The meeting began roughly at 2:30 PM and concluded at 6:30. The meeting did not yield any significant news and sources say there could be potentially more meetings to come in the following months as they work to negotiate military base placement as part of the military expansion of Cambridge.
“Fredrick is a great guy, one of the bests I have every worked with during my time in government, and I can say is that we have an incredible plan for Cambridge’s military expansion that will see the investment in millions for a new military base, better fighter jets, weaponry and tanks,” said President Laylin. “Fredrick and I looked at what he has prepared for military expansion, and I couldn’t be happier. As Cambridge is a sovereign nation to the United States Of Jesstopia, we are somewhat involved in the process but will let the Cambridge government, who is elected by the people, to decide how they spend the money and I will not make any decisions abridging the discussions unless in could be detrimental to our national security.”
Both officials did say they are working on further funding ventures to increase patrols around the United States Of Jesstopia and on Cambridge waters of the Sea Of Jesstinian, which has seen increasing pirate and drug boat activity. Jesstopia and Cambridge continue to share a very positive relationship.
“I think both President Laylin and Prime Minister Ricketts can see eye to eye on a lot of what are military needs and will find ways to get it done for them,” said Charles Schwabb, Minister Of Defense for Cambridge. “They know what needs to be done and will stop at nothing to ensure the security of both countries, and President Laylin, as the Prime Minister says, has been a great friend and ally to our country, and as a sovereign land to Jesstopia, has been relatively hands-off with the buildup of our military and expand upon existing military infrastructure.
President Laylin is scheduled to depart Cambridge on Tuesday and will stop and visit with local government officials and gage what they would like to see change in terms of farming and other industries. He will then fly to Israel for a quick stopover meeting before returning to the United States Of Jesstopia.
