RUFUS – As part of President Laylin’s Cambrige relations plans, he signed a funding bill worth 289 million aimed at providing Cambridge with military equipment funding that will see a rapid expansion of Cambridge’s military abilities and power.

The funding package, a package that was promised by President Laylin at the start of his term last year, will enable Cambridge to build weapons defense systems that protect both Cambridge and Jesstopia, while improving the existing missile defense systems in place.

“I think signing this funding package for Cambridge is both good for our relationship with Cambridge as well as great for Jesstopia’s defense,” said President Laylin in an early morning conference. “When I signed the funding package that was sent to my desk just a day before Congress recessed, I realized that this bill was not just about providing Cambridge with money to implement stronger military defenses, but it would benefit the Jesstopian people by ensuring stronger defense of our skies and country. This is a multi-faceted bill aimed at improving domestic security for both of our countries. This will benefit our country long after we are all gone.”

The bill included three funding measures including the build up of Cambridge’s missile defense systems, the funding of tanks, drones, and weaponry as well as providing funding for the construction of a 92 million dollar defense base in the Davidson, Mesa. The funding will also the increased hiring of Cambridgian soldiers for the Army.

“I thank President Laylin for his dedication to keeping both of our countries safe,” said Cambridge Prime Minister Fredrick Ricketts. “Together we provide existential safety to both the people of Cambridge and Jesstopia. Together we will continue to keep our nation’s safe from terrorists, acts of war and other targetted attacks against our countries. This money will also see the construction of a new Cambridge military base in Jesstopia, thanks to the President. I look forward to continued cooperation between both of our countries.”

The Nationalist House says that he signed the funding bill into law around 2:00 AM and said that continued discussions about increasing oil drilling in Cambridge are scheduled to take place when the President visits Cambridge on Sunday.

Cambridge’s current military spending budget is a mere 108 million compared to Jesstopia’s 483 billion budget which boasts an impressive fleet of aircraft, ships, attackers and destroyers, as well as tanks and ground assualt vehicles. Cambridge is loaning military equipment from Jesstopia and the funding bill will see the rapid growth of Cambridge military for the second time since Cambridge became a country.
