RUFUS – Former Product Mart Stores Inc. Chief Executive Officer Henry Burton has announced his intentions to run for President in the 2028 Jesstopian Presidential Elections. His announcement was made just after 9:00 PM. He says he is running as a Nationalist, hoping to be elected the next President.

Burton says that the country is in financial trouble, as the Laylin Administration continues to spend recklessly on anti-LGBTQ programs, useless spending packages and out of control foreign policy. He says that under his economic plans he would cut costs to programs that “benefit the wealthy,” work to cut costs on healthcare and medicines important to the Jesstopian people, increase the number of houses being built, and restore jobs back in the United States Of Jesstopia.

“I am planning on running for office, to improve the lives of all Jesstopians,” said Henry Burton. “I know we can win this thing and take back the Nationalist House. I hope to serve you all as the next President of our great country. I will work to cut costs to programs that benefit the wealthy, work to cut costs on healthcare and medicines important to the Jesstopian people, and increase the number of houses being built to end the homeless crisis our country faces. I will restore jobs back in the United States Of Jesstopia by mandating Jesstopian companies produce their products here in Jesstopia.”

He is now the second Nationalist presidential candidate that has announced their intentions to run for President, following former Vice President Travis Loretti’s announcement on November 19. He says the country is in deep trouble and rights are being trampled by a overreaching Republican president and government. He says he denounces any attack on LGBTQ Jesstopian citizens, although past sentiments of the community could come back to haunt him.

Republicans have yet to announce any campaigns for President, and it seems likely that they are waiting to hear from President Laylin on his intentions for 2028. Republicans still control the House and Senate and are hoping to continue to cling onto control of both chambers of Congress as well as the Nationalist House in 2028.
