RUFUS – A Nationalist House staffer was assaulted outside of a QP in Samson, New Shire. The staffer, who serves in the Nationalist House’s clerks office, was assaulted while filling up her car. The attack happened just after 4:00 AM and police are searching for leads.

According to officials, this attack seems to be highly “politically motivated.” They say that the victim was working for Nationalist House Clerk Davey Menendez. Menendez’ office has not released a statement as the investigation continues. The suspect was not caught and officials in the DR Police Department are searching for clues and ask any witnesses to come forward.

“This brazen attack took place against a Republican staffer of President Laylin,” said FCIS Director Barry Wilkenson. “We are fully investigating this attack and we will not allow any person to attack political opponents and plan on charging the suspect with ‘everything that will stick,’ and we will not stop until this animal is caught.”

President Laylin issued the following statement following the attack on his personal X account. He called the attack animalistic and send his well wishes and prayers to the victim’s family, the victim whose identity is not being released per the family’s request.

“This poor, poor staffer who was attacked while filling her car up at a Samson QP gas station is doing well, and I will not release the victim’s name at this time, at leasts,” tweeted President Laylin. “This attack was brutal and animalistic and the person who perpetrated this attack needs capturing. I will deploy every possible resource to help find this animal.”

Police are now working to provide security for Nationalist House staff members full time following the attack, as New Shire State Police and District Of Rufus Police Department create specialized operations divisions for NH Staff.

“We are working to provide protective details to each and every Nationalist House staffer to ensure an attack like this never happens again,” said Mayor Mable DeWine. “The New Shire State Police and DRPD are working closely to ensure that these staffers can safely travel to and from the Nationalist House without fear of being attacked. We are creating a funding plan and are looking to execute this deal with these agencies as soon as next week. Obviously, my heart and prayers go out to the victim and the family at this time. We must stop this violent discourse and move towards peace and understanding.”

Neither agency has issued and statement regarding the security plans and it is not expected that they will as they work out the details. Mayor DeWine says this is a very subject and details will be withheld from public view under Jesstopia’s federal Privacy of Victim’s Act. Investigators continue the investigation as police search for suspect.
