RUFUS – The Senate has just voted in favor of passing the 2025 Child Protection Act which was supported by 12 Nationalists. The act would criminalize the display of LGBTQ symbols, flags, markings, banners, media, social media, videos, music, and other forms of media in schools, colleges and anywhere that children present or could be present.

The Senate quickly moved to vote for the act, just days after the Supreme Court ruled that bans on the display of LGBTQ related materials is unconstitutional. If the bill passes the House, which is very likely to happen, it can become law and the Supreme Court may have a harder time ruling against the law.

“This is a great day for our country’s children,” said Senate Majority Leader Harry Rodham. “This type of content does not need to be shown or displayed in places of learning. Especially when these institutions have the job of educating the truth to students nationwide. We cannot allow these ideals to be taught or fed to our children. We hope the House will pass this bill.”

The act is seen as a way to circumvent the previous decision by the Supreme Court that rules banning materials from schools based on personal prejudices is unconstitutional and ruled that the Laylin Administration violated the constitution with funding holds for schools and education institutions that failed to comply.

“The House is very likely to pass the bill, and it will most definitely be sent to the President’s desk for final signature. President Laylin will absolutely sign the act when it is sent to him from the House,” said Senator Jake Miller. “This bill will protect our classrooms, students and will preserve our country’s traditional values that our founding father imagined. We will not liberalism take control of our country.”

“This bill is extremely discriminatory, and I hope that most House Republicans will see it for what it is and vote against it,” said former Representative Francine Wallis. “President Laylin is being handed a blank check to do what he wants because Republicans control both chambers of Congress. Any Republican who opposes these bans should speak out and vote no.”

Representative and former House Speaker Nolan Burmaster says he is not surprised in the least that the bill passed the Senate. He said he will not be surprised if the bill passes the House, and did say he would vote no on the bill when it hits the House floor.

“I am not too sure why so many of my fellow colleagues are so surprised that the bill passed the Senate,” said Rep. Nolan Burmaster. “For years Republicans have been eyeing ways to reduce the rights of our country’s LGBTQ population and would stop at nothing to stop bills related to the community or transgender Jesstopians from passing. I wasn’t too surprised that the bill passed the Senate and I will not be surprised when the bill passes the House. I will vote no to passing it but, we simply do not have enough votes to stop it.”

The House website already shows that the House will vote on the bill on Thanksgiving before the chamber recesses for Thanksgiving at 9:00 AM. The House is likely to pass the bill.

“I am extremely worried that students will not be able to express themselves in classrooms around this country because of this bill if it passes,” said Macey Walliams, a teacher at a local High School. “I have students who identify as trans and they worry every day that their rights will be stripped. I hope the House will do the right thing and vote no. My students are depending on this bill falling through.”

Other members of the LGBTQ community are preparing for further mass protests scheduled for later this week but say they will do so at major federal government buildings to protest the bill.

“We are the voice for the voiceless. We will not let a dictator tell us who our children, friends, family members be, and we will not silently sit back and allow Republicans to strip our rights away,” said Henry Brumbaugh, a transgender student at Roberto Central School District. “We will continue to fight these hateful, discriminatory policies and we will do so with tenacious spirit and unwavering resolve. Our country is great because of its diversity. President Laylin and Republicans want to take that away from all of us.”

Officials across the country are preparing for violent protests that are likely to take place across the country. Police and other officials are taking places in key cities to ensure order is maintained or restored. Jesstopia is currently facing the worst divide in history since the inauguration of President Laylin last year.
