RUFUS – President Jay Laylin has officially reacted to the announcement of a potential ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, as Israeli and Hamas families look to bring home their loved ones. President Laylin issued a statement supporting and congratulating the move, including praising US Donald Trump for brokering the ceasefire deal.
In his statement, which was published to the Nationalist House website early this morning, he praised the work of Israel, the US, as well as other key allies including touting Jesstopia’s involvement in negotations.
“Today we witnessed US President Donald Trump giving Israel and Hamas a chance to stop the fighting, albeit potentially temporarily, and return hostages back to their respective countries. Since taking office for his second term, he has vowed to end the war between Israel and Hamas, and has even vowed to bring hostages home. Today we are seeing him deliver on those promises,” read the statement. “As part of our efforts to end the war between Israel and Hamas, we have worked with US and Israeli officials, to bring a close to this war that has raged on since 2023. We in a continuing effort support and approve of a ceasefire.”
The President vowed to send clean food, water, clothing and medical supplies to Israel to aid in reentering them back to their lives in Israel. The President signed an executive order that authorized and directed his Department of State and Department Of Defense to start sending these supplies to Israel.
“We will send in food, clean water, and supplies to Israel and support their wounded and ensure that medical treatment is funded through until the end of the 2026,” continued the statement. “Today I signed Executive Order 300.380, titled ‘Authorizing and Directing the Jesstopian Department Of State, and Department Of Defense To Begin Sending Supplies, Food, And Medical Care To Israel.’”
Israel and the United States Of Jesstopia continued to negotiate a tangible peace agreement since last year, and officials said that no agreement drafted together was approved by Hamas. US President Trump was able to broker and ensure both parties agreed to the peace agreement.
US officials call the potential ceasefire ‘an amazingly welcome sight.’ Jesstopian officials said that the announcement sparked concerns that the announcement is coming prematurely and may hamper the ceasefire agreement and potentially lead to a withdrawal of cooperation with the ceasefire.
