RUFUS – President Jay Laylin has officially addressed the nation following yesterday’s attack on Darwood Naval Base. During the address to the nation he called for a moment of silence for the 25 service members killed. He said that Iran will pay for killing Jesstopians on a Jesstopian Military base. He vowed to get justice for the service members killed in the attack.

He also addressed the incoming response that will be levied against Iran and several of the actions taken by the Administration that were directly implemented following the missile attack.

“Yesterday, 25 of our military service members were brutally and senselessly killed in an early morning bombing of Darwood Naval Base, which is located in Medina, Saudi Arabia,” said President Laylin during the address. “The attack killed 25 young men and women, devoted to defending our nation and our allies. The senseless act was carried out on a Jesstopian base, in Saudi airspace. We are in talks with Saudi Arabia’s government on ways to safeguard Darwood in the future. Talks will come at a later date.”

The President continued to say that Saudi Arabia, Canada, the US, and France have all called meetings that the President is scheduled to attend later this month. The President said Saudi Arabia has been cooperating with efforts to retaliate against Iran.

“Iran must be stopped, and Saudi Arabia has agreed to help us carry out retaliatory responses to their attacks on Darwood. The have offered further air support patrols over the base, and we will be in talks with them about further protections around the airspace,” continued President Laylin. “To the families of the 25 that were killed on base, the people of the United States Of Jesstopia, Kelly and I as well as Vice President Bindle and Jacklyn are sending our love and prayers your way. We send our extreme gratitude for the service of your loved ones, and for protecting our country. Their service and the impact that they had on this country’s safety and security is immeasurable. We are thinking of you, always.”

Laylin also described the anger he felt when he found out that Darwood, a relatively inactive base was attacked. During his address, he said not one ounce of his body was free of anger.

“When I found out that 25 Navy service members were killed, there was not one ounce of my body that was free of the anger that I felt at that moment,” explained Laylin. “I was beyond livid and I know we must avenge their deaths. We are a nation that does not take too kindly to our nation being attacked. We are working through this, and we will overcome.”

The President didn’t address what plans he has for retaliating against Iran, and if the missile strikes he is proposing will start anytime soon. He did say that ‘big things are coming.’

Officials in the Nationalist House have not confirmed any plans the President has for relation efforts against Iran, and neither has the Department Of Defense.
