RUFUS – A gunman opened fired while President Laylin was heading to Presidential one enroute to North Lorray for a meeting with the North Lorray Republican party. According to Presidential Protective Service agents, the gunman missed and fled on foot.
“We are obviously looking into this shooting, because the President was the target,” said Presidential Protective Service Director Gerald McFarland. “Thankfully President Laylin wasn’t struck and he is still on his way to North Lorray. We will have increased security upon his arrival in North Lorray later today. This gunman must be caught, because someone again tried to kill President Laylin. This is an assassination attempt.”
Officials believe the shooter to be in his mid to late 20s, and was seen wearing dark clothing carrying several firearms, that were not identified. Officials from the Federal Crimes Investigation Service are being deployed to aid in the investigation.
“If you have any information, please submit your tip to tipoff@pps.jesstopia.org, or call 1-900-490-4845, and please give us any tips that will lead to the arrest of this individual,” continued McFarland. “We are hoping to quickly bring this individual to justice.”
Nationalist House officials are confirming that President Laylin is okay and is still on his way to North Lorray for his meeting with Senator Joey Rigg. As for the manhunt for the suspect who shot at the President, officials say they will send out every resource possible to catch this individual.
