RUFUS – The Federal Elections Board has just certified that Republicans will control the House after 20 days of counting votes. The Federal Elections Board says that the final races were called at 7:24 AM, and all races are now called.
“We have conclusively decided that all races have been called and adequately reported to the proper officials, that Republicans will have 264 House seats and Nationalists will have 247,” said Federal Elections Board Director Pauley Dayton said in an early morning statement. “We thank everyone who worked day in and day out to count and certify this election and to ensure the election was called fairly and honestly. We also thank voters for their patience as we continued to call races.”
With the race now called, it is time for the Senate to confirm the election results for both the Senate and House elections. The Senate races were officially called just two days after the polls closed, with Republicans taking control of the Senate. But now, that Republicans are set to control the Nationalist House, Senate and House on November 10, 2025, House Speaker Nolan Burmaster’s tenure as the 34th Speaker of the House, is coming to an end.
“At the end of the day we are pretty disappointed, but we are hopeful and optimistic about the future and the successes we have jointly for the Jesstopian people,” said Speaker Nolan Burmaster. “While we may have lost the majority, we will still very much fight back against discriminatory legislation and policies of Republicans, albeit at a much more disadvantageous position after November 10, 2025. We will never surrender, we will never stop working and fighting hard for the Jesstopian people.”
House Minority Leader Gregory Harks says the Republican victory in the House only “proves that Republicans have a great mandate.” He also said he looks forward to working with Nationalists to make more policy that reflects the needs and will of the people.
“I think that we now being in the majority, need to reflect on the way we were treated by Nationalists, and ensure that we work cooperatively across the aisle,” said Minority Leader Gregory Harks. “We will continue to push forward President Laylin’s agenda and work to implement his strong immigration and LGBTQ policies into law. We will work hard for the people of this country and will continue to reach across the aisle to accomplish this goal.”
Officials across the country are reacting to the Republican House Victory and have even began celebrating. Others have not had such a upbeat tone with protests already breaking out across Jesstopia. President Laylin issued a statement early this morning regarding the Republican Victory.
“Congratulations to the Republican Party for gaining both Chambers of Congress as we work to deliver on the campaign promises we made back in 2024,” said President Laylin. “I pray that we can all work together the end the madness that has been allowed to take place under Nationalist leadership and call on Nationalists to support the work of our administration to make Jesstopia better, stronger and safer for all. Lets get to work and Congratulations to House Republicans.”
The winners of the House elections will be sworn in for the new term starting on November 10, with the newly sworn members voting for a Speaker, Deputy Speaker, House Leaders as well as House whips. It is heavily speculated that Minority Leader Gregory Harks will eye a potential bid for the Speakership, with Nationalists likely to contest it.RUFUS – The Federal Elections Board has just certified that Republicans will control the House after 20 days of counting votes.
