RUFUS – President Jay Laylin today, delivered remarks on the murder of American political activist Charlie Kirk. In his statement, he sent his condolences to the family, and spoke of his work in Conservatism.

“It is with heavy hearts we learn of the passing of American political activist and American patriot, Charlie Kirk, who died after being shot in the neck, while speaking to students at a event at Utah Valley University. First and foremost, I would like to send my most heartfelt and warmest condolences to the family. Charlie was a beloved friend, father and husband, and his death is a dent in the world of Conservative Republican politics. His genuine take on life, was and always be something I admire and respect,” the President wrote. “He was assassinated, by a left wing lunatic with his own political agenda. The death of Charlie, leaves a gaping hole in the hearts of everyone who knew him, interacted with him, and loved him. I was fortunate enough to be able to speak with this incredible human being. My heart shatters for his wife Ericka and their children.”

President Laylin went on to denounce the shooters actions and said that they must face the fullest extent of the law. He lowered Jesstopian flags in honor of Charlie Kirk, until the day of his internment.

“The shooters actions are horrendous and anti-democratic. The hate the left spew, is absolutely appalling, and I hope that the shooters face the fullest extent of the law. In honor of Charlie Kirk, I have ordered flags at half staff until Charlie is laid to rest. May he forever live on in the world of Conservative politics and may he forever be remembered as a beacon of Democracy.” finished the statement.

President Laylin said that he himself faced political violence, and repeated that “political violence has no place in democracy. He said that the assassination of Charlie is a reminder that there are still unstable people in the world, who would wish to do harm to others.
