RUFUS – President Jay Laylin has remained a relatively politician with Republicans, and as of late, tensions may be showing their face, as Laylin keeps up violent missile launches against Iran, which has angered Jesstopia’s closest ally, the US. As he continues his assaults on Iran, his approval ratings and other polling data suggests that he is increasing rifts and tensions within the Republican party between Laylin Loyalists and Party Loyalists.

But as tensions begin to show face, polling data suggests that there is a deep divide by members of the party, and the Laylin inner circle. Recent polling has shown his approval rating in terms of Foreign relations has dropped to just below 46% approval, down 14 percentage points from the start of his presidency. Experts believe that his continued willingness to keep the Jesstopia-Iran war ongoing is crippling support for his presidency.

In terms of the economic policy, immigration policy as well education policy, he continues to rank high, with about 71.8% of respondents supporting these policies. When it comes to lowering the costs of living, he remains at a comfortable 51.2% approval. Respondents say they’d like to see the cost of fuel, which currently remains stagnant at J2.89/gal around the country.

As Iran and Jesstopia ramp up its attacks against each other, major political fallouts have also harmed President Laylin’s approval ratings. Representative Jared Paxton(MS-38) has split with the President calling his attacks against Iran “extremely dangerous, immoral and dangerous.” He spoke out against President Laylin’s unwillingness to end the fighting between Jesstopia and Iran, which would benefit both countries if the fight ended.

Representative Blake Harrington(NS-17) also said that he would “unequivocally reject any proposal to continue funding the Jesstopia-Iran war.” Harrington had been an extremely outspoken supporter of Laylin and his presidential campaign, but said he could not idly stand by as President Laylin continued his “vengeful and unnecessary attacks on Iran.”

With Laylin’s political outlook looking bad now, polling data suggests he still has a relatively strong grip on the party and will be comfortable for the next three years of his presidency. If he can work on ending the fighting with Iran, his approval ratings could beam back, possibly stronger than ever.
