RUFUS – The Jesstopian Federal Elections Board has already begun preparing ballots for the 2025 Congressional Elections which will take place on Friday, September 5, 2025. Voters will be able to start voting when polls open at 7:00 AM. During the elections all 511 House seats are up for contest with a handful of Senate seats up for election during this round of voting.
There are several major seats that are currently held by an incumbent who is not seeking reelection. Cameron’s 1st Congressional District which is currently held by Representative Dana Brickston, who is retiring after her term is up.
Representative Charles Lober, who represents Cameron’s 20th District, is seeking to be elected to the Senate. His seat is set to be one of Cameron’s most contested seats as Republicans look to take control of the House.
Representatives James Cranston(L-34) and Tamera Lawson(L-55) are both retiring after serving more than two decades respectively. Representative Brody Patterson(MS-15) is seeking election to the Senate, after nearly twenty years in the House.
This year’s Congressional elections are not likely to be very easy to predict as Republicans begin gaining extreme popularity in solidly Nationalist states like New Shire, North Lorray, who in 2024, handed Jay Laylin the Presidency. This election will really be tight, and experts predict that Republicans will take the Senate, but it is unclear if they can also take the House, as Nationalists hold a large margin over them in terms of control.
Senators say that will the progress that President Jay Laylin has done and seeing crime rates decrease by 32% since taking office back in November, will help Republican chances at taking control of at least the Senate, with hopes that the House will also be taken by Republicans come November.
Other officials say that voter turnout will be similar to the 2024 Presidential election, with a higher number of Republicans registered to vote. Republicans right now make up about 49% of the country’s overall voter numbers. 51% are Nationalists, but that could change as more voters turn out this election cycle.
Voters who were not registered to vote before May 10, 2025, will not be eligible to vote in this election, and anyone who registered to vote before then, will need to check their voter registration status, to ensure that their voter registrations are valid. Officials say that at least 30% of Congress is set to be shaken up, but not other information was provided on the internals of both parties.
