ASPEN – President Laylin will soon learn who is accusing him after a Federal Court judge ruled that the victim’s name must be revealed. The court argued that it violates the President’s rights to withhold the name of who is accusing him. The prosecution will have two weeks to provide that name to President Laylin’s legal team.
The decision comes as officials of the Laylin administration argued that her name should not be hidden especially after accusing the President of the United States Of Jesstopia of raping her in 2015, when he served as a Senator. The victim’s lawyers say they plan to appeal the decision, citing concerns for “the safety and well being,” of their client.
“While I understand the plaintiff’s concerns of privacy, we can not violate the President’s right to face his accuser,” said Federal Court Judge Tonya Aspendale during the proceedings. “He has the right to know the names of his accuser; witnesses and any other individuals engaged in this complaint. I will be reversing the lower state court’s decision to require that her name remain hidden from the public. I will grant you two weeks to prepare full evidence and to begin preparations for her name to be revealed.”
President Laylin’s lawyers are saying it is a huge win for the President. With her name ready to be revealed to the public, it will allow their legal defense team to work on gathering potential witnesses to testify against the victim. It will also grant them more time to look into the victims’ history and any issues that could have occurred while she was employed the President during his time in the Senate, which they say could potentially be motivating the accusations.
“While we are still very early in this case, there is a heavy concern that evidence supporting his innocence could potentially be hidden by the prosecution,” said one of the President’s lawyers. “We will also be able to find any employment concerns, writeups or any other disciplinary action that could view the accusations as retaliatory in nature. We will also look into witnesses that could possibly have been around during the alleged drugging, rape and beating.”
While the Judge ruled that her name must be revealed, the Prosecution may delay the release of her name if extreme circumstances exist. While President Laylin works to defend himself, other Republicans are joining in the fight to defend President Laylin.
“This is great news, because it will put her name in the public, which will allow the public to look into her history, and will help provide more evidence that will prove the President’s innocence,” said friend and Mesa Governor Joshua Adamson. “President Laylin is falling victim to a politically motivated rape allegation and we will not stop supporting through these allegations. The allegations are serious in nature, and I will let the legal process take place.”
Investigators are still gathering a witness list ahead of the start of the trial next month. President Laylin will likely be required to testify, but a court has not ruled if he would be required to be there during the first few weeks of the trial. It is heavily anticipated that he will asked to show up.
