RUFUS – Republican Stephen Portman has defeated incumbent Nationalist South Lorray Governor Thomas Adamshick in a final vote score of 280 vote bank points to Governor Adamshick’s 257. Portman will become the 2nd Governor of South Lorray on June 25, ending the five years of service Adamshick devoted to the people of South Lorray.
Thomas Adamshick has served as the 1st Governor Of South Lorray, being appointed Governor in 2021 and then winning a full elected term in 2022. He said that “this defeat is not the end of his political career,” citing a plan to “run at somepoint for Congress.”
“I congratulate Governor-Elect Stephen Portman on his well fought campaigning,” said Governor Adamshick. “The past five years in office have been the biggest honor of my life and I wouldn’t trade thie experience for anything. My hope is that we can come together and defeat President Laylin’s attacks on immigrants seeking shelter from their situations, work to make LGBTQ issues more common place in government discussion and working to ensure all South Lorrayans are treated fairly.”
Stephen Portman also said that he looks forward to serving the State as it’s second Governor, hoping to push for more spending on deportation efforts within South Lorray.
“Together, we will work to remove illegals who for too long have been authorized to stay in this state undocumented by the previous administration,” said Governor-Elect Stephen Portman. “We will work with President Laylin to continue working to remove illegals that actively try to enter our country and state daily. I hope to be able to increase spending on immigration efforts in our state. Thank you all for making me the clear choice for our state. I look forward to getting started serving you.”
Portman will be sworn in to office on June 25, 2026, and will be sworn in at 8:00 AM. He will assume office after taking his oath of office at the State capital.
